AI and Your Practice

What AI do we use?

We currently use Heidi Health AI Scribe to record and transcribe meetings, for documenting appraisals and for some patient consultations.

Why are we using Heidi?

Our practice wants to find ways to enhance and improve:

Our Focus on Patient Care: By introducing Heidi, it allows us to spend more time interacting with you, improving the quality of care and communication during consultations.

The Efficiency and Accuracy of our consultations: Heidi AI Scribe ensures that all details of your consultation are accurately recorded, reducing the risk of errors and omissions in your medical records.

The Streamlining of our Workflow: Heidi Health helps in managing the various administrative tasks which result from consultations such as updating patient summaries, filling out forms, and creating letters. This will help in making our workflow more efficient.

How will your Data be managed?

We would like to reassure you that your privacy is essential. Heidi Health AI complies with UK regulations (Data Protection Act, GDPR, NHS standards) and hosts all data within the UK.

No recordings of consultations are kept. Your data remains private and secure. Conversations are transcribed simultaneously while they happen, meaning no recordings are ever stored. Once your clinician has completed and reviewed their notes, they are transferred to your Electronic Health Record (EHR) and then deleted from Heidi.

Do I have to consent to the use of the AI Medical Scribe?

No. While the use of the AI medical scribe can greatly enhance the quality and efficiency of your consultation, you have the right to decline its use. If you choose not to have the AI scribe assist with your visit, your healthcare provider will document your consultation manually as they normally would.

If you have any objections to your clinician using Heidi, please let the receptionist know when you check in or alert your clinician.
